Editorial Policy
Effective date: September 6, 2026
This page sets out how content on Tattoo Vibes is created, checked, credited and corrected. It exists so readers, artists and advertising partners can all see the standard we hold ourselves to.
Who writes this site
Every guide is written and edited by Lily Elizabeth Brown. There is no anonymous content and no automatically generated filler. Where an outside contributor ever writes for the site, they will be named on the article itself. You can read more on the about page.
How a guide is put together
- We choose a single clear theme, such as a placement, a motif or a style.
- We gather real photographs of finished tattoos made by working artists. Digital mockups, flash sheets presented as finished work and generated images are never used.
- We confirm the artist behind each photograph. If the artist cannot be identified, the image is not published.
- We write the commentary ourselves, describing how the piece reads at that size and placement, what carries the design, and what to consider if you want something similar.
- We review the finished guide for accuracy, spelling, image quality and correct credits before it goes live.
Artist credit
Every tattoo photograph carries a visible credit to the artist directly underneath it, showing their handle exactly as they write it and linking to their profile. This is a hard rule with no exceptions. We do not claim ownership of any tattoo artwork or photograph featured on this site.
Advertising and independence
- The site is funded by third party advertising. Adverts are selected by advertising networks, not by us, and their presence is never an endorsement.
- No artist, studio or brand can pay to appear in a guide. Placement is editorial and is never for sale.
- If an article ever contains affiliate links or is produced under a paid partnership, that is disclosed clearly inside the article itself, near the top, not buried in a footer.
- Advertising partners have no input into what we write, which artists we feature, or what we say about a piece.
Accuracy and corrections
We check details carefully, but handles change, accounts close and artists move studios. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Corrections to a published guide are made promptly, and where a change is significant we note it on the article.
Report a problem through the contact page or at hello@tattvibes.com.
Updates to published guides
Guides are living documents. We revisit them to replace images that have been taken down, refresh commentary, and correct credits. The date shown on an article reflects its most recent meaningful update.
Comments
Comments are moderated. We welcome questions and disagreement, and we remove spam, abuse, hate, personal attacks and promotional links. Comments reflect the views of the people who wrote them.
Not professional advice
