Cookie Policy

Effective date: September 6, 2026

This page explains what cookies are, which types Tattoo Vibes uses, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things about your visit, such as your preferences or whether you have already dismissed a notice. Similar technologies, including local storage, pixels and web beacons, do comparable jobs and are covered by this policy too.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to work. These keep the comment form functioning, remember that you have set your cookie preferences, and help protect against abuse. They cannot be switched off in our systems.

Analytics and performance

These tell us which pages are read, how long people stay, and where visitors arrive from, so we can improve the guides. The reporting we see is aggregated rather than tied to you personally.

Advertising

Set by our advertising partners. They measure advert performance, limit how often you see the same advert, and where you have consented, select adverts relevant to your interests. These are the cookies most people mean when they talk about tracking, and they are the ones our consent notice asks you about.

Embedded content

Some articles embed content from other services, such as our image optimisation provider or a social post. Those services may set their own cookies when their content loads.

Your choices

  • Consent notice. If you are in a region with consent requirements, you can accept or reject non essential cookies when you first arrive, and change your mind at any time through the same notice.
  • Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and can warn you before one is stored. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.
  • Advertising opt outs. Use Google Ads Settings, the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance or Your Online Choices.
  • Do Not Track. Browsers send this signal inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for honouring it, so we do not rely on it. Use the consent notice instead, which we do honour.

Changes

Our advertising and analytics partners occasionally change the cookies they set. We update this page when that happens, and the effective date above shows the last revision.
